IDA VALE WHITE SUFFOLK SHEEP

Founded in 1985 by the late Bronte Gardner, Ida Vale was the first West Australian White Suffolk stud to be established. The aim was to create a superior terminal breed with white wool, clean points, low birth weights and a good shoulder setting for ease of lambing. Now, more than 35 years on the White Suffolk breed is firmly entrenched in the Australian prime lamb industry.

Ida Vale has a reputation for producing robust, high performing and structually sound sheep that are well suited to the prime lamb industry.

Each year we invest in carefully selected, quailty genetics from leading studs throughout Australia. To fast track our genetic progress we use the latest technology such as genomics, electronic tags for data recording, artificial breeding and performance testing through Lambplan. Ida Vale is also a member of SUPERWHITES young sire and genetic improvement group.

Ida Vale has in excess of 500 stud White Suffolk ewes and each year sell up to 180 rams to stud and commercial producers throughout Western Australia. Rams are available at our Annual Production Sale in Kojonup as well as on farm. Stud ewes are available on farm by private selection.

The stud principals at Ida Vale for the last 13 years are Tamesha Gardner and Andrew Greenup and their two daughters Sophie and Lexi.

The highest price White Suffolk ram for 2020 Australia wide was sold by IDA VALE for $29500.  IDA VALE 194051.
